I’d Rather Be Wowing!

About

My main two characters are E, a shadow priest, and Val, a protection paladin which reside in a PVE server. Other than these, I have myriads of other characters scattered around in other servers. But those two are the only ones that I’m serious about right now. Although I am in the middle of raising Lem, a warlock.

I found out after playing for some time that I am biased toward classes that can heal. I got antsy knowing that I cannot do anything while taking the pounding from the mobs. The only exception to the non-healing class that I enjoy playing is Hunter, which I managed to level up to 50 and currently sitting collecting dust on a PVP server that I don’t play any longer. I may roll one again, one of these days. But that’s probably after I am rolling a resto druid :).

E was originally conceived to be a holy priest, since the guild I am in was lacking in the healer department. Although I like the task of healing by itself, I learn that I’m just not capable of being a good healer. I got nervous too fast when I saw people’s health are dropping down like flies. So, when the only paladin in our guild volunteer to spec in holy, I was happy to turn back to the shadow spec once again. Not too mention that farming is so much more enjoyable :) Being a shadow spec, not only that I can contribute substantial damage, but I love the “unselfishness” aspect of the class by providing utility, buff, some crowd control, and back up healing for the rest of the party.

Val was also originally a holy paladin (can’t you tell that I really tried being a healer). With one patch (I forgot what it was), protection paladin became very appealing to play. It didn’t take long for it to convince me to switch V from a healer to a tanker. I love tanking as a paladin. It’s so much fun to see all the mobs come to you and see all the aoe spells surrounding you. The only complain that I have is that it takes so long just to kill one mob ><.

This blog simply exists because I need some outlet to channel my obsession to this game when I cannot play the game myself. In other words, this blog is about my adventures in the World of Warcraft, detailing the progress, the goals, the problems, the challenges, the complains, the experience, and the advices that I picked up the along the way - which mostly would be in the perspective of a shadow priest and a tanking paladin. I doubt that I would contribute anything unique amongst the hundreds or thousands WoW ’s blog out there.

I guess my last advice would be don’t expect too much from this blog. There are other blogs out there that are more competent in providing theory or strategy and I would do my best to point them to you. Remember that the blog is here for my entertainment and hopefully along the way I can offer something useful for you.
